PPS started in digital photography in 1988 with the purchase
of a Mac IIx and a Slidewriter film recorder to make computer generated 35mm
slides. We then added an Encad III ink jet printer in 1993 to begin printing
presentation graphics. Today we are utilizing computers, scanners and a group
of Epson photo printers more than we are cameras and enlargers. We create,
combine, modify, retouch and restore
images using computer monitors along with Photoshop, Illustrator and other
programs. Then we can print digital files on photo papers, art papers,
backlit film, canvas and other fabrics. The quality and variety of prints is
greater than ever before.
Scanning - PPS can scan your
photographic film or flat reflective originals. The resulting files can
be relatively small for use on the Internet or for making prints as small
as locket size or they can be hundreds of megabytes in size to allow
making large prints or back-lit transparencies for advertising or trade
show display. The scans can be used by PPS as the beginning of the production
process or written to a Zip Disk, CD-Rom or DVD and delivered to the customer
for use in computer graphics work.
Digital File Preparation -
Photo Restoration - PPS can restore old, faded or damaged
photographs and alter or remove unsatisfactory details from images.
Damaged originals can be scanned, repaired in the computer and
reprinted to create a new image.
File Preparation - We can
design files to print brochures, sales literature, mailers and other promotional
pieces. We can create photographic and Giclee images, displays, presentations
and posters and print them for trade shows, litigation, reception
areas, retail stores, lobbies or art reproductions. They can be used
wherever a large photographic quality presentation can have an impact.
We can also create presentations on disk or printed to slide film. We can design
web pages and upload them to your website. The variety and quality of graphic
tasks that can be performed with computer software is unsurpassed.

Digital Enlargements - PPS can print
photo quality ink jet reproductions up to 44" wide.
These printers can produce prints that equal or surpass the quality
of traditional photographic prints and they can do it on photo papers,
art papers, backlit film, canvas and other fabrics.
Quantity Printing - Photographs, sales literature, mailers,
greeting cards, head shots, comp cards and many other pieces can be printed in quantity.
If needed, the printing can be trimmed, folded or bound into finished
presentations.
Posters -
PPS can print economical short run posters in virtually any size
or quantity needed.
Display Prints -
PPS can print even larger prints for trade shows, litigation, reception
areas, retail stores and lobbies in panels up to 44" wide.
Copy Prints - Virtually any flat original can be
copied. PPS can still make copy negatives in both color and black & white if you
wish, however scanning and printing a digital file is the most successful
method yet to reproduce existing photographic prints.
Giclee Prints - With our Epson Ultrachrome printers PPS
can prepare Giclee art prints that faithfully reproduce your original art or
with your direction create entirely new art.
